How to Make a Reservation at Bar Cecil in Palm Springs
There's no question that Bar Cecil is the most sought after table in Palm Springs. Honestly, we can't think of anywhere else we'd rather be. With a whopping 4.5 stars on Yelp! along with countless rave reviews from critics, locals and guests alike, it’s clear that this beautifully designed and impeccably managed Palm Springs restaurant and bar sets a new standard for the city.
The restaurant’s team describes the it as “for those who follow the beat to their own drum, horn or whatever inspires them to create, to be individuals, and to embrace diversity.” We say YES to that, especially when coupled with almost life-changing dishes from Executive Chef Gabe Woo like scrumptious Deviled Eggs (with Caviar, if you’re feeling luxey), the Colossal Shrimp Cocktail and an unbeatable Steak Frites. Many feel that the pork chop is life changing as well!
Are you with us yet? Ok, great. Now we need to score a table. As you can imagine, reservations can be very difficult. But there are ways (and they don’t involve folded up bills).
Score a reservation at Bar Cecil even if they’re fully booked
If you’re read this far, we’re assuming you haven’t made your reservation 8 months in advance. Neither are we. So, if you’re wondering how to make a last minute reservation at Palm Springs’ unrivaled hotspot, here are a few tips and tricks on how to score a table or a lovely seat at the bar:
Tip # 1 - Set an Alert
Alerts aren’t just for annoying Instagram ads any more. You can use the OpenTable app to set an alert for sold-out restaurants and (hopefully!) score a table when someone cancels. Here’s how:
If you have yet to download the OpenTable app on your mobile device, do that now.
Then, find Bar Cecil Palm Springs for the date and time that you’d like to dine.
If you see the time you want, you’re in luck! Otherwise, you should see a button that says “Set alert.” Tap that, select the times that you’d be willing to visit and keep an eye on your phone.
If a table opens up — and they do! — you’ll get a notification on your phone that a reservation has become available.
Don’t delay! Tables go quickly since it’s one of the best and most popular restaurants in Palm Springs. Good luck!
Tip # 2 - Arrive at Five
Although it’s nearly impossible to walk up to Bar Cecil and get seated at a table, the bar seating is reserved for first come first serve guests (and who doesn’t want to sit in those amazing turquoise stools?) Show up right at 5pm and you’ll have a great shot at scoring a bar seat. Enjoy a cocktail or an entire dinner, it’s up to you.
We certainly hope you enjoy a visit to this stellar dining establishment in the desert during your stay at our Palms at Park vacation rentals and if you have any further tips, we’d love to share them with future guests!
