Boozehounds Palm Springs: An Insider’s Guide
If you've searched for dog friendly restaurants in Palm Springs you may have come across this fabulous new addition to the Uptown Design District. Regardless of whether you plan to bring your four-legged friend out to dinner, we're huge fans of this beautifully designed restaurant, cafe and bar concept. Here's why we love it.
It's perfect for groups.
At Palms at Park, all of our luxury vacation rentals have 5 or more bedrooms so we know a bit about group gatherings. However, not every restaurant in town can easily handle a table for 10, 12 or more. Whether you're in town for a family reunion, girls trip, or friends getaway, when it's time to hit the town, give Boozehounds a try.
The restaurant is huge.
With about four thousand indoor square feet plus the same outside and in the semi-enclosed atrium, you'll have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a wonderful meal, coffee or cocktails together.
It's designed to the nines.
Once you walk through the door of the historic mid-century building there will be no doubt that you're in the heart of Palm Springs' Uptown Design District. Locally sourced materials, a desert hewn palette and design inspiration drawn from the majestic San Jacinto mountains come together in the best possible way in this warm and welcoming space.
In short, Boozehounds is gorgeous.
Terracotta two tops with upholstered chairs ooze comfort in the main dining area while the circular bar abutts a living room space perfect for relaxing. Outside, the atrium area plays host to dog lovers and the open air patio is a perfect setting to enjoy beautiful desert sunsets.
It's mostly for people.
Although the thought of watching coiffed pooches sipping from water bowls at the dog bar brings joy to our hearts, you should consider Boozehounds even if dogs aren't your thing.
Dogs aren't allowed inside.
Soaring ceilings, ample square footage and stunning design welcome you the moment you step into the main restaurant and bar area but the only thing not welcome in this area might be your beloved westie! The indoor space clocks in at 3,812 square feet and humans alone have free reign to enjoy every impeccably designed inch of it.
If you are dog owners, you'll love the sprawling beer garden and dog park that make this one of the most pet friendly restaurants in town, right on Palm Canyon.
There's something on the menu for everyone.
Helmed by Executive Chef Corey Baker, the Boozehounds menu features inventive and fresh SoCal cuisine. That means bright starters like the sumptuous Bluefin Crudo, satisfying mains like the Adobo Chicken or the 48 hour Miso Marinated Chilean Sea Bass Fish & Chips plus the standards like the Double Burger and Fries.
Although we didn't sample the dog menu ourselves, we did think about it. The Doggie TV Dinner sounds amazing, complete with beef meatloaf, dog treat gravy, peas and carrots. If your pooch leans more pesco, consider the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl with sesame, rice and fresh veggies. As dog restaurants go, we think your four-legged friend will be quite satisfied with this one.
Happy hour happens every day.
When 2pm rolls around, it's time to put the booze in Boozehounds and order yourself a cocktail. Every afternoon cocktails, beer, wine and food specials can be had at the bar (and at a discount!)
Boozehounds happy hour is every day from 2pm to 5pm, including Saturdays and Sundays.
Well drinks are 7, draught beer is 4 and small plates range from 5 to 14. We say do your part to fight inflation and start drinking early. Check out the full Boozehounds Happy Hour Menu here.
